ENThe author presents the most valuable Lithuanian books of the museum library. They came from various noble states and private collections. The oldest book “Postilė” by J. Bretkūnas, 1591 was gained from P. Gasiūnas’ collection. After WWII the books from counts’ Weisenhoff, Römer states formed a part of library, too. There is a section of Lithuanian periodicals from banned period and interwar Lithuania.
