ENThere was found a hoard with Russian silver wire kopeks in Strotchytsy village (Minsk district) in 1983. It is composed of seventy seven coins (from Russia, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Brandenburg, Prussia and the Spanish Netherlands) and two small fragments of yellow metal. The Russian kopeks form the youngest group of coins of the complex. The hoard dates from not earlier than 1705. The concealing of it is related to the events of the Great Northern War (1700-1721) and may be attributed to the presence of some group of Russian army near Minsk in 1706-1708.
