ENIn the 21st century the increasing severe competition actualizes the consumer's position; more often it is concentrated on his/her demands, interests, opinion or attitudes. In Lithuania regular market researches were started at the beginning of 1998; 98 market and public opinion research companies operated in Lithuania at the beginning of 2007. According to the data of market and public opinion research association "ESOMAR", the Lithuanian market research market is one of the fastest growing ones in the whole world. Also, according to expenses allocated for market researeh growth, Lithuania is the eighth on the list of 62 world countries. In Lithuania fairly many market research companies operate, in 2005 only 98 companies operated; their turnover was 64 million Litas. One of the largest market research companies "TNS Gallup" declares that at the moment it holds 45 percent of the Lithuanian research market. The largest amount of information is provided by the company "TNS Gallup". Three companies ("Baltijos tyrimai", "Factus dominus", "Sprinter tyrimai") give comparatively little information about their services. Thus, the mentioned sector is adequately developed, and market research companies get increasingly more clients.
