ENThe construction of space in the poetry of A. Nyka-Niliūnas is revealed as the relationship between two different concepts of space. The first concept of space is based on Heidegger's notion of being-there (Dasein). At the centre of this spatial construct lies the image of the body. The second concept of space in Nyka-Niliūnas's poetry appears as the space of language. The construction of the space of language here is conditioned by the ambiguity of the relationship between the referential and rhetorical aspects of language. Transformations of both spaces or, according to the poet himself, the dialectics of the theology of thing and the grammar of being form the peculiarities of the poetic world of Nyka-Niliünas.
