Summary / Abstract:

ENStylistic research is important for both Latvian and Lithuanian languages. Though some elements of stylistics studies can be found in early linguistic works, more thorough theoretical and practical investigations in this field started only in the 20th century. Comparative studies of Latvian and Lithuanian stylistics have recently begun, and the linguists are working on the defining dictionary of the stylistic terms of both languages.
