ENThe aim of the research is to describe sense of ancient symbols on Tyshkeyichs family coat of arms. The methods used are as follows: comparative analysis, theoretical reconstruction, semiotic analysis. Tyshkevichs is an ancient famous family. Its coat of arms is named “Lialiva”. There are two ancient symbols: crescent and hexagram on it. The author of this article explains the meaning of these symbols from the viewpoini of semiotic, not heraldry.
