ENThe main aim of this paper is to present the concept of working life quality and to tender an analysis of work-life balance and its dependence on the nature of work, with reference to two groups of different nature respondents surveyed and the authors‘ research, also the conclusions and suggestions for further researches on the topic. Research methods: analysis of scientific literature, quantitative workers survey and this survey data statistical analysis. The authors of this article made a research of work-life balance among the creative and office workers. The main aim of the research is to justify or to disprove the current hypothesis that different nature of work determines a different evaluation of the work-life balance. The research was conducted in a form of a survey in which there participated representatives of two extremely distinct groups according to the nature of their work: creative workers and office workers. The results of the research were statistically processed with the SPSS programme batch. Answers of both exploratory groups were compared to each others and a couple of aspects were compared to the results of a previous research on the quality of working life conducted in South Korea in and in Lithuania. Obtained results, findings and conclusions. The quality of working life could be defined as the synthesis of workplace strategies, processes, and environment, which together stimulate the employee‘s job satisfaction. This also depends on working conditions and the organization‘s efficiency. The concept of the quality of working life encompasses the following factors: job satisfaction, involvement in performance at work, motivation, efficiency, productivity, health, safety and welfare at work, stress, work load, burnout, etc. The work-life balance position and importance in the context of the quality of life along with the quality of working life are analyzed. After the authors‘ research, it emerged that a different nature of work really determines a different work-life balance from the objective point of view. However, hardly has any influence towards the considered work-life balance of the exploratory groups themselves from a subjective point of view. It appears, even though both the creative and office workers are satisfied with their work-life balance, respectively, yet from the objective point of view, personal life of the creative workers suffers from work much more. The part of conclusions and suggestions summarizes the analysis of the scientific literature and the results of the conducted authors‘ research. The authors‘ recommendation for the ones who are working on the research of the work-life balance topic further and deeper is to study more and more varied work nature groups. Also, to consider the aspect of income (its value, nature, consistency, recurrence) that was groped at the author‘s research, however, not investigated any wider, as one of the essential influential factors of the work-life balance. The research findings demonstrate that the studied organizations have possibilities to increase their employees' quality of life and loyalty by improving working conditions and environment. The high value of the quality of working life directly influences the higher quality of life. The findings suggest that the designed research method is suitable for evaluation of quality of working life and quality of life. It is possible to generalize that quality of working life can be managed, measured and evaluated.
