LTStraipsnyje yra nagrinėjami transporto įmonių teikiamų paslaugų konkurencingumo aspektai teoriniu požiūriu. Vienas iš konkurencingumo kriterijų yra darbuotojų kompetencija, kurios efektyviausi didinimo būdai yra darbuotojų mokymas ir valdymas. Įmonės sėkmė priklauso nuo to, kaip ji sugeba suderinti darbuotojų valdymą su strateginiais verslo tikslais. Straipsnyje yra naudojami duomenys gauti kiekybinio tyrimo būdu. Apklausoje dalyvavo transporto studijas Lietuvos kolegijose baigę absolventai, tęsiantys studijas universitete. Tyrimo metu buvo siekiama išsiaiškinti respondentų nuomonę apie įgyta profesinę kompetenciją, teorinių ir praktinių žinių lygį, trūkumus, kurie daugiausia sukelia sunkumų darbe ir lūkesčius, su kuriais respondentai sieja studijas universitete.
ENThe article analyzed services provided by transport companies from the theoretical point of view. One of the criteria of competitiveness is the competence of employees, which are the most effective ways to improve employee training and management. The company’s success depends on how it is able to combine the staff management with strategic business objectives. Transport sector is expanding rapidly and there is increased competition, an important role is played by the correct strategy and management policy selection. It is influenced by the actions of competitors, who can attract the best candidates to work in your organization, offering better working conditions, higher wages and other conditions. Therefore, retention of qualified specialists is difficult work, allowing to remain competitive in the market. In this article is used the results of quantitative research. The survey involved the graduates of transport studies in Lithuanian colleges who continue their studies at university. During the research aimed to find out respondents’ views on the acquired professional competence, knowledge and level of deficiencies that mainly caused by difficulties in their work and expectations with which the respondents associate university.The analysis of literature showed that the transport service market is dominated by various kinds of competition and one of the transports for enhancing enterprise competitiveness factors is the personnel qualification and its improvement. Investigations showed that college graduates welcomes their theoretical and practical training, but mentioned that in practice they faced with managerial problems, i.e. lack of planning, failure on timely detect and solve arising problems, and foreign languages also. Therefore, it can be said that the only constantly evolves person can help the company remain competitive in the market of transport services, so between the transport companies’ competitiveness and the quality of staff is a direct link.
