Plotinas apie Amžinybę, kaip Būties gyvenimą

LTStraipsnis skirtas Plotino Amžinybės sampratos analizei, kreipiant ypatingą dėmesį į jos ontologines implikacijas. Darbe analizuojamas Plotino traktato Apie amžinybę ir laikų III.7 [45] trečiasis skyrius, pasitelkiami ir kiti temiškai artimi filosofo tekstai. Straipsnyje mėginama parodyti, kokiu būdu Plotinas naudoja „Gyvenimo” (gr. zoe) sąvoką diskusijoje apie amžinybę ir laiką. Daroma išvada, jog „gyvenimo” sąvoka suteikia amžinybei pozityvų ontologinį turinį, kuris leidžia Plotinui nuosekliai integruoti amžinybės ir laiko kategorijas į jo trijų hipostazių - Vienio, Mąstymo ir Sielos - sistemą. Nepaisant to, jog Amžinybės kaip Būties gyvenimo koncepcija nepaaiškina visų svarbiausių Mąstymo (gr. nous) hipostazės raidos ir struktūros aspektų, Plotino pateikta amžinybės ir laiko interpretacija padeda geriau suprasti vidinį Mąstymo hipostazės dinamizmą, Mąstymo santykį su jo šaltiniu - Vieniu, taip pat žmogaus sielos galimybes dalyvauti ir patirti Amžinybę. Šios Plotino filosofijos temos tapo ypač karštų diskusijų objektu vėlesnėje helėnų, krikščionių ir arabų neoplatonizmo tradicijose. ENThe article presents an analysis of the Plotinian conception of Eternity as Life of Being. The investigation focuses mainly on Plotinus’ treatise On Eternity and Time. The article attempts to draw attention to the important ontological aspects of the Plotinian concept of Eternity. The conclusion of the article is that Plotinus’ definition of Eternity as Life of Being is not just a metaphor. The notion of the life of the Intellect is used in a consistent way in many contexts of his writings. The introduction of the notion of life into the definition of Eternity emphasizes several important aspects of the ontological status of Eternity. First of all, life is not an effect of intelligible reality but its ontological condition, the limit and source of activity and identity. This means that the Life of Being is not identical with the partial aspects of the intelligible universe, but is suggested and covered by them. Secondly, life expresses the wholeness of Being in its totality - this is applicable not only to the Life of intelligible Being, but is also true of the Life of the Soul, which assumes the totality of the soul’s time. Thirdly, life is recognizable and experienced by living and existing beings on the basis of common liveliness and ontological status, so that life establishes, develops and intensifies connection of our own being with Eternity via the eternal in us.
