ENThe article presents an outline of the war lot of Polish Jews from Vilnius, called Jeruszalaim Lita, and their post-war choices and journeys to the new destinations: Poland (not including the Vilnius region any more) and farther to Western Europe, any of the two Americas, or the restored State of Israel. The examples of selected authors (many of them being heroic soldiers of anti-Nazi resistance): lechak Arad, Aba Kowner, Chaim Grade. Szmerke Kaczergiński, Abraham Suckever show their considerable input to the world culture of the 20th century. Their works created the memory of Polish and Jewish Vilnius of the 1st half of the 20th century. They rescued the material heritage of the Yiddish culture (continuing the traditions of Jung Wilne artistic groups), by handing over invaluable documents remaining after the Holocaust to the YIVO in New York. They developed the new identity of the State of Israel, where the representatives of Polish Jews played a prominent role.
