ENThis article analyzes phonetic phenomena found in one of the monuments of Old Belorussian writing. In the Raczynskis’ Chronicle, representing the second compilation of Belorussian-Lithuanian chronicles, all-Ruthenian characteristics prevail, as well as West-Ruthenian linguistic elements, which are not always consistently realized. Marginal authentication was obtained by the characteristics being grounded in the phonetics of the Polish language and borrowings from Old Church Slavonic.
