ENThe legal protection of employees' representatives in the case of their discrimination, unfair dismissal or other sanctions is extremely important subject in the regulation of international law. This issue focuses not only to conventions and recommendations of the International Labour Organisation, but also to the legal instruments adopted by the Council of Europe. Each state, which has ratified respective international legal acts, obliges to set forth in national law special safeguarding measures against retaliations for employees’ representatives at work. The article deals with the protection of workers’ representatives of dismissal and disciplinary penalty in Lithuania and national regulatory compliance with international labour law standards and precedents.
