Summary / Abstract:

ENSome Lithuanians still remember some old lady who was capable of counting the date of forthcoming Easter. Patriarchal society treated women as the could of the house. Their duty was not only to prepare meals, take care of children but also make preparations for most important holidays. Spindle was a tool helping to make counting the dates of holidays.
