ENThe article deals with the problem of the variation of the ethnic agrarian culture. The object of the scientific analysis is the regional peculiarities of the Shrove-tide feast in Samogitia. The rites of the Shrove-tide are more or less common in all Lithuania, but the comparatively homogeneous ritual structure of the feast does not mean that it cannot be the same regional specific. The goal of this article is by the example of the Shrove-tide ceremonies to show, that the Samogitian version of this feast have had the well seeing regional specific.
