Vilniaus Katedros lobynas : recenzija
LTRecenzijoje aptariamas Lietuvos dailės muziejaus išleistas albumas „Vilniaus katedros lobynas“ (2002). Nurodydamas teigiamas šio reprezentacinio leidinio puses, recenzijos autorius pabrėžia puikios kokybės iliustracinę medžiagą ir informacijos gausą. Vydo Dolinsko platus apžvalginis straipsnis, skirtas Katedros lobyno istorijai aptarti, priklauso prie išsamiausių Vilniaus Katedros tyrinėjimų. Šiuo atžvilgiu leidinys atveria galimybes apibendrinimams ir platesnėms paminklų studijoms. Recenzijos autorius taip pat išsako kritines pastabas šios knygos rengėjams, nepateikusiems išsamesnių iliustracijų aprašų. Tačiau viena svarbiausių problemų – eksponatų parinkimo ir priskyrimo Katedros lobynui problema. Abejotina, ar visi publikuojami paminklai tinkamai rado vietą albume. Nė viename iš įžanginių straipsnių lobyno sąvoka ir turinys nėra aptariami. Todėl susidaro įspūdis, jog leidinio pagrindu tapo Lietuvos Dailės muziejaus eksponatai, šią grupę papildžius dar keletu daiktų. Nenuvertindamas eksponuojamos brangios ir įvairiapusiškai vertingos dirbinių grupės, recenzentas pripažįsta, kad ji neišsemia ir tiksliai neatspindi istorinio Vilniaus Katedros lobyno rinkinio. Tokiu atveju klausimas, kas laikytina istorine lobyno sąvoka ir kas tam lobynui skirtingu metu priklausė – dar lieka nemažas tyrinėjimų objektas. ENThe review covers the album “Vilniaus katedros lobynas” [“Repository of Vilnius Cathedral”] (2002), published by the Lithuanian Art Museum. When pointing out the advantages of this representational publication, the author of the review emphasises the excellent quality of illustrations and the abundance of information. A broad review article by Vydas Dolinskas, which is dedicated to the history of the Cathedral’s repository, belongs to the most detailed studies of Vilnius Cathedral. The publication provides possibilities for generalisations and broader studies of monuments in this respect. The review author also provides critical comments for the developers of this book, who failed to provide more detailed descriptions of illustrations. One of the major problems however is the selection of exhibits and their attribution to the Cathedral’s repository. It is doubtful whether all published monuments were adequately included in the book. None of the introductory articles discusses the concept and content of a repository. Therefore, an impression is that the exhibits of the Lithuanian Art Museum, supplemented with several other items, formed the basis of the publication. Without undervaluing the precious and comprehensively valuable group of items, the reviewer acknowledges that it does not exhaust and precisely reveal the collection of Vilnius Cathedral’s historical repository. In this case the question what should be considered the concept of a historical repository and what belonged to this repository at different times still remains a substantial object for studies. Excellent illustrations of the monuments in the Cathedral’s repository and the accompanying list of its properties are among the most useful components of the publication.
