ENBased on extensive source material from Lithuanian and Polish archives, the figure of Stanisław Kościałkowski was presented, along with his scientific and educational achievements during his tenure as a professor at the Stefan Batory University in Vilnius between 1920 and 1939. Particularly, emphasis was put on the role of the master for many future scientists, distinguished for Polish humanities, in particular, historical sciences. Attention was paid to the formation of the legend of a professor, whose attitude embodied the ideal teacher and educator of academic youths. [From the publication]
