ENBased on the semantic analysis of poems "Kūryba" (Creation) and "Bachas" (Bach) by Vincas Mykolaitis-Putinas, the article discusses the poet's attitude towards the phenomenon of creation. A conclusion is made that creation is essential to the poet; it is his modus vivendi, safe and reliable space of his existence. In addition, the author states that such attitude was common not only to Mykolaitis-Putinas, but also to some other European poets in the 20th century.
