Suter, Paul. Alfurkan Tatarski. Der litausich-tatarische Koran-Tefsir. Bausteine zur slavischen Philologie und Kulturgeschichte : recenzija

LTRecenzijoje aptariamas Paulo Suterio veikalas "Alfurkan tatarski: Der litauisch-tatarische Koran-Tefsir" (Bausteine zur slavischen Philologie und Kulturgeschichte. Neue Folge, Reihe A: Slavistische Forschungen, bd. 43. Böhlau, Cologne, Weimar, Vienna, 2004). Recenzentas išsamiai pristato veikalo struktūrą, pagrindines mintis. Recenzento tvirtinimu, svarbiausias Suterio teiginys yra toks: ne taip, kaip kiti vakarų Europos vertimai, kilę iš Roberto Cetensiso 1143 m. vertimo, "Allfuran tatarski" buvo iš pradžių išverstas ne į baltarusių kalbą, kaip manoma kitabiskoje, bet į lenkų kalbą iš arabiško originalo. Recenzentas išdėsto ir priekaištus įvairiems veikalo autoriaus argumentams (pavyzdžiui, priekaištaujama, kad Suteris lenkų-baltarusių diglosiją pristato labai plačiais potėpiais, nepaisydamas ukrainiečių kalbos įtakos kuriamai literatūrinei rusų kalbai) bei pačiai knygos struktūrai. Recenzento nuomone, Suterio knyga būtų naudingesnė, jeigu jos pradžioje būtų pateikta transliteracijos sistema. Be to, esą labai neįprasta, jog tokios apimties darbe nėra nei leksemų, nei tikrinių vardų indekso, nors autorius išsamiai apžvelgia aptariamųjų rankraščių, ištisai ar iš dalies jo paties transkribuotų, kultūrinius ir istorinius pagrindus. Vis dėlto, nepaisant minėtų trūkumų, recenzento nuomone, tokia didelės apimties knyga yra verta vadintis nauja kultūrinio ir kalbinio musulmonų totorių palikimo įžvalga. ENThe review discusses the work of Paul Suter “Alfurkan tatarski: Der litauisch-tatarische Koran-Tefsir" (Bausteine zur slavischen Philologie und Kulturgeschichte. Neue Folge, Reihe A: Slavistische Forschungen, bd. 43. Böhlau, Cologne, Weimar, Vienna, 2004). The reviewer explicitly reveals the structure and the main ideas of work. In the opinion of the reviewer, the main statement of Sutter is the following: “differently from other translations of the Western Europe, originating from the translation of Robert Cetensis of 1143, “Allfuran tatarski” first was not translated to Byelorussian language, as it is thought in kitabiska, but to Polish language from the Arabian original. The reviewer also delivers criticism on various arguments of the author (e. g. he criticizes that Suter presents Polish-Byelorussian diglossia in too broad strokes not withstanding the influence of Ukrainian language to literary Russian language created) and the structure of the book. In the opinion of the reviewer, the book would be more useful if Suter had presented the system of transliteration in the beginning of it. In addition, it is rather unusual that the work of such scope has neither lexemes’ nor proper names’ indexes notwithstanding that the author explicitly reviews historical and cultural bases of the manuscripts mentioned and partially or in full transcribed by him. Nevertheless, notwithstanding the limitations mentioned, the reviewer states that the book of such scope is worth calling it the new insight on cultural and linguistic heritage of Muslim Tatars. This well performed Suter’s work should occupy a deserved place among the serious works of this area.
