ENThe Aušra Gate Madonna’s painting covers a forged silver dress and two crowns. By research is established that the great crown and setting is of silver, gilded; a small crown made of gilded copper al- lay’s tin. Both crowns are fixed to the setting with the golden screw nuts. While restoring was removed the varnish, with it was varnished the setting and crowns, earlier when the painting was renewed, were cleaned off the spots of corrosion. The metal was covered with a protective wax cover. To the great crown were strengthened 28 missing decorative little eyes; the setting and crown’s deformations were leveled. The tin’s slightly splits were made stronger with riverts.
