Великое княжество Литовское в зарубежном белорусоведении второй половины ХХ – начала ХХI в

ENThis article deals with the foreign historiography on the problem of the history of the Great Duchy of Lithuania basing on the analysis of the historiographic tradition and the sources on the history of the formation of Belarusian studies in Great Britain, Germany, the USA and Canada in the postwar period. The study of these sources allows us to make the preliminary conclusions, which characterize the extent to which the problem has been studied, the specifics of the main group of sources which help to hold the historic-cultural reconstruction of the problem, determine the circle of the main tasks, the solution of which gives us an opportunity to create the whole, systematic picture of the phenomenon we study. In this article we also examine the main tendencies in the development of Belarusian historiography of the 20th century in the research of the history of the Great Duchy of Lithuania. The main questions and points of discussions in studying the above-mentioned problem have been set. The important directions in further research and study of the history of the Great Duchy of Lithuania have been defined.
