Mokslo komunikacijos tobulinimo poreikis aukštojoje mokykloje : užsienio kalbų dėstymo specifika doktorantūros studijose
LTStraipsnyje aptariama mokslo komunikacija biomedicinos studijų kontekste, atskleidžiama jos raiška ir svarba aukštojoje mokykloje, remiantis Lietuvos sveikatos mokslų universiteto (toliau – LSMU) Veterinarijos akademijos (toliau – VA) jaunųjų mokslininkų ugdymo ir ugdymosi patirtimi. Tyrime pateikiami LSMU Mokslo centro dokumentų analizės ir neformalios VA doktorantų apklausos metu gauti duomenys, leidžiantys įvertinti užsienio kalbos tobulinimo poreikį aukštesniosiose studijų pakopose. Atkreipiamas dėmesys į tai, kad sparti mokslo ir technologijų pažanga sąlygoja sveikatos darbuotojų veiklos pokyčius – šalia praktinės vis dažniau akcentuojamos ir mokslinės veiklos funkcijos. Itin aktuali tampa tarptautinė mokslo komunikacija, įgalinanti mokslinių tyrimų publikavimą tarptautinėje erdvėje. Geras užsienio kalbos mokėjimas doktorantui suteikia galimybę kaupti žinias, įsisavinti naujus mokymosi ir tyrimų metodus, padeda plėsti mokslinius ryšius bei įtvirtinti profesinius kontaktus. Mokslinės komunikacijos užsienio kalba specifikos suvokimas suteikia specialistui aukštą kvalifikacijos kokybę bei ugdo visuminę būsimo mokslininko kompetenciją. ENScience communication is very diverse during doctoral studies – the form of it can change because of the different audience, communicational purposes or the variety of means of communication. Evolving new culture of science communication gives more freedom and makes the act participants closer, and also obliges and encourages a constant improvement of their communication and collaboration skills. The article presents the scientific communication in the context of biomedical studies and reveals its expression and the importance in higher education. It is based on the data of the research, which took place in Veterinarian Academy (Lithuanian University of Health Sciences) in spring of 2013. The study presents data derived from the analysis of the LUHS Research Center documents and the informal survey of VA doctoral students. Findings show the need to strengthen foreign language skills in doctoral studies. One of the key traits in modern science communication is the internationalization. It extends possibilities of doctoral students. VA doctoral students actively participate in international scientific activities. 24 visits in 13 countries were recorded for science communication purposes during the period of 2011–2013. These were courses, exhibitions, seminars, congresses, long-term placements, international conferences, etc. organized by international scientific organizations, universities and institutes. The purposes were to collect the latest scientific information, to publicize the latest investigations and to establish the useful contacts.The scientific research during doctoral studies carries product of science communication – scientific publication. At the same time it helps the researcher to understand himself as a scholar, intercepting the experience of the other communication act participants and presenting the operational experience to others. Each science communication participant must feel personal responsibility to ensure the quality and continuity of this act. The linguistic competence (the ability to communicate properly in academic foreign language) is one of the criteria to ensure the quality of the communication act. VA doctoral students' oral communication skills in a foreign language are getting better, but students feel under-qualified for the production of scientific publications in foreign languages. Thus, even at higher levels of study remains a great necessity to improve communication skills, emphasizing the specifics of the scientific foreign language. [From the publication]
