Summary / Abstract:

ENPopular tales, which are known for the most part of contemporary society, today are revived again: tales are retold using nowadays realia or are created parodies of tales. In such way they again become actual, interesting and attractive even for young people. Today the most of the parodies are told in the internet. In the virtual space they can be not only written, but are visualized, the funny pictures, photos and videos are created as well. The most popular tale which plot is used for retelling is "Red Riding Hood". The main idea of such parodies is conversion of the heroes when the positive hero becomes saucy, even bad or unkind and negative hero becomes weak, sweet and humble. In this way girl Red Riding Hood is depicted as young, beautiful, innocent but more often immoral and very sexy lady and the wolf impersonates the tempter who try to turn the attention of the girl or even he is pictured as sexual maniac or rapist. The content of the parodies is strongly eroticized; story is filled with obscene scenes. The parodies reflect nowadays life, in ironic way they show various negative phenomena of our society, mock human defects. Perhaps new tales do not represent ideal world, but they can teach us how to behave or not behave in various situations or just try to look at our lifestyle with humour. Hereby the didactical function of the tale is sustained through the ironical hyperbolization. [From the publication]
