ENEveryday life of the Eastern Borderline women during the Second World War and the soviet occupation (1939-1945) in the personal documentary context (summary) War has many faces, and in order to approach its harshness, one must get to know a particular person, and hear the truth told by a witness and participant of the wartime events. Autobiographical notes allow for analysing various phenomena, facts and experiences, since they all consist of numerous information layers. The aim of this research paper is to introduce female fortunes in times of terror, flights, prisons, round-ups, and deportations, that is in the time of the Second World War. In the analysed accounts we will trace the influence of war on the changing female fortunes, as well as indicate their determination by the enemy. The research method of this work is based on critical analysis of chosen texts and interpretation recreating the described reality. Wearenotonlyinterestedinfactsandevents,butalsoreactions,behaviour and reflections on the side of the authors. Their experience of transformation of their surroundings, which they were connected with emotionally by traditions customs and memories, was especially strong. Deprived of the male protection and support, they were forced to deal with humiliating and insulting treatment exercised by the occupational forces. According to the memoirs these women led a difficult battle for saving their children and families from famine illnesses death or exile, but also from spiritual annihilation of faith and hope for better future.
