ENThe author of the article has been interested in this theme for more than ten years. The Christian culture of this region unites the Catholics and Protestants (evangelist Lutherans and evangelist reformers). Barbora Umiastauskaitė called by people Žagarietė or the Saint of Žagarė has been cloaked in a veil of secrecy. It is thought that the main proof of her holiness is miracles that the people experienced when they appealed for help. There were registered more than 400 of them. The stories of thankful people who experienced unearthly help are signed by them. They are officially registered by a group of people and given in the article “Having found a book of miracles of Barbora Žagarietė”.
