ENThis article is an attempt to look at issues of presentation of the image of a Pole in the selected works of Lithuanian literature of twentieth century. So far the theme has not been widely discussed in scientific literature as well as both Lithuanian and Polish. For the purposes of the study had been selected three pieces of Lithuanian writers whose works are characteristic of different periods of the history of literature. These are: In the shadow of the altars by Vincas Mykolaitis-Putinas, Forest of the Gods by Balys Sruoga and Nutty bread by Saulius Šaltenis. [From the publication]
