Summary / Abstract:

ENThe article discusses the roles of teaching assistants in the discourse of support to a learner. The analysis of teaching assistants’ reflections of own activities revealed four areas of activities, where efforts of teaching assistants are concentrated to enable successful education of special needs learners: educational support, physical assistance, psychological support and social support. The conducted deeper analysis in the aforesaid areas disclosed the multi-dimensionality of teaching assistants’ support and its influence not only on learning efficiency of learners but also on maturity of their personality.
