The encouragement of creativity in autonomous LSP studies

LTPastarųjų metų pedagoginė pažanga mokant užsienio kalbų skatina kreipti daugiau dėmesio į studentų gebėjimą apmąstyti ir suvokti, kas vyksta mokymosi aplinkoje. Tai, savo ruožtu, skatina mokytojus kurti mokymosi kontekstus bei taikyti įvairius metodus, kurie leistų studentams patiems apsvarstyti ir įvertinti savo kalbines kompetencijas. Straipsnyje yra analizuojama mokinių kūrybiškumo vystymo tretinėse institucijose dabartinė situacija bei ieškoma metodų ir požiūrių, kurie leistų studentams savarankiškai vystyti savo kūrybiškumą mokantis užsienio kalbos. Siekta įvertinti sąsajas tarp besimokančiųjų savarankiškumo ir jų kūrybiškumo vystymo mokant(is) specializuotų užsienio kalbų (ang. LSP). Siekiant išsikeltų tikslų, atlikta literatūros, susijusios su studentų kūrybiškumo ugdymu nepriklausomose LSP studijose, analizė, naudotas klausimynas ir atliktas trumpalaikis eksperimentas (Mykolo Romerio universitete). Vienas svarbiausių uždavinių buvo atskleisti studentų pasiruošimą ir norą prisiimti atsakomybę už savarankiškas studijas. Norint tai įvertinti, mokymui buvo pasirinktas projektais paremtas mokymo metodas, kurio metu studentai savarankiškai kuria ir įgyvendina projektą. Nustatyta, kad dauguma studentų nori prisiimti atsakomybę už savarankišką mokymąsi, kuris jiems suteikia galimybę didinti kūrybiškumą. Egzistuoja ryšys tarp studentų kūrybiškumo, sėkmingo kalbos mokymosi ir episteminės motyvacijos, kai taikomi inovatyvūs mokymo metodai. Projektu besiremianti atvejų analizė mokant specializuotų užsienio kalbų suteikia studentams daug laisvos veiklos ir taip skatina savarankišką mokymąsi bei vysto kūrybinius gebėjimus.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Students' autonomy; Motivation; Creativity; Responsibility; Project-based case study.

ENProgresses reached in the area of teaching foreign languages during the last years encourages paying greater attention to students’ ability to think over and understand what is happening learning environment. On its turn, this encourages creating new teaching contexts and applying various teaching methods that would allow students weighing and evaluating their linguistic competencies by themselves. The article analyses contemporary situation in developing students' creativity in the third institutions and looks for methods and attitudes that would allows students developing their creativity independently while learning foreign languages. The article aimed to evaluate the relationship between the independence and the development of the creativity of students while teaching (learning) languages for specific purposes (LSP). In order to reach the objectives the author performed analysis of literature on developing creativity of students in independents LSP studies, used questionnaire, and performed short experiment in Mykolas Romeris University. One of the most important tasks was to disclose the readiness and the willingness of students to take responsibility for the independent studies. In order to evaluate all the above, the author has chosen project-based teaching method when students develop and implement the project independently. The author found out that the most of students are willing to take responsibility for independent learning which stimulates their creativity. The relationship between the creativity, successful learning of languages, and the epistemic motivation occurs when the innovative teaching methods are applied. The analysis of two cases allows maintaining that project-based teaching of foreign languages delivers more freedom and thus stimulates independent learning and develops creative abilities of students.
