Ultimatum wobec Litwy w 1938 roku w świetle polskiej prasy tamtego okresu

ENIn order to establish relations with Lithuania Poland decided to take advantage of the border incident in March 1938, as a result of which a Polish soldier had been killed, to issue an ultimatum to Lithuania, demanding the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. These occurrences drew attention of the contemporary Polish press, especially the Vilnius newspaper "Slovo", in which the incident on the Polish-Lithuanian border was recounted in detail. Some days later the newspaper carried out the analysis of the complexity of Polish-Lithuanian problems and presented its owndemands, necessary in their opinion to establish diplomatic relations.
