Summary / Abstract:
ENThe purpose of this article is to present the potential, as well as the main barriers to the development of wind power in Lithuania. The consequence of selected European Union energy policy is extremely rapid development of technology for generating electricity from renewable energy sources. The main thesis of the article say that the potential of wind power in Lithuania is untapped, especially at sea. It is impeded by a number of technical, environmental, and political factors.
