ENEntrepreneurship is considered a key factor for socio-economic development and the main condition for achieving competitiveness of the country's economy. Therefore, to ensure continuous development of the country’s economy, priority of any government should be to create favorable conditions for the development of the level of entrepreneurship, thus and so the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises in the country. The purpose of this article is to attempt to determine the importance of small and mediumsized enterprises in the process of creating competitiveness of the economy.
