ENIn 2013 we had the 150-year anniversary of the revolt of 1863. For that occasion Šiauliai „Aušra“ Museum organized an international exhibition and published the album- catalog „Revolt of 1863: faces, names, stories“. There were presented 22 exhibits from Lithuanian museums and museums of neighboring countries (Poland, Belarus). This article presents the egodocument - an exhibit from Grodno State History and Archeology Museum - „Droga do Syberyi so-podróż więźnia Pisana 1863-1864 65 i rock" („The Way to Siberia or the prisoner’s journey written in 1863-64 and in 1865“). This is a manuscript book in Polish, in which a young deportee describes his hard way to Siberia, places, which he passed, daily life details of people, living in Siberia. The book is richly illustrated with colored pictures of the author. In this article the story of the rebel-deportee is also illustrated by other revolt sources - museum exhibits: photographs, letters, objects. Personalized journey to the excile description is the source of the revolt history and anthropology, which still awaits for further research. [From the publication]
