ENThe paper presents a brief overview of the path of Stephen C. Rowell to the science of history, his relationships with the research objects and with Lithuania, and his works. Through the introduction to his scientific works and his relationship with Lithuanian history, the contribution of scientific institutions (and particularly Cambridge) that matured S. C. Rowell as a researcher and his collaboration with Lithuanian research centres (and primarily with Klaipėda University) is presented, and his former and present research activities and interests are briefly characterised.
