Lietuvių kultūrinis gyvenimas Lietuvoje ir išeivijoje: centro ir periferijos santykis
LTStraipsnyje aptariamas Lietuvos ir išeivijos kultūrinis bendravimas ir bendradarbiavimas. Užėjus antrajai emigracijos bangai, prieš Lietuvą okupuojant Sovietų Sąjungai, gyventi į užsienį pabėgo ir emigravo didžiulis Lietuvos kultūrinio gyvenimo potencialas: rašytojai, dailininkai, skulptoriai, muzikai, vertėjai etc. Ilgainiui išeivijoje iškilo sudėtingas klausimas: ar bendrauti ir bendradarbiauti kultūriniame lygmenyje su sovietinės Lietuvos kultūros atstovais? Straipsnyje bus analizuojama, ką būtų galima laikyti kultūrinio gyvenimo centru – Lietuvą ar išeiviją? Kam labiau tiktų periferijos apibūdinimas kultūriniame lygmenyje? Bus iškelta diskusija, ar centras ir periferija yra nepajudinama konstanta, ar vis dėlto priklausomai nuo aplinkybių vienu metu centras gali tapti periferija, o periferija – centru.
ENThe article studies cultural communication and cooperation between Lithuania and emigration. When the second wave of emigration occurred before the Soviet Union occupied Lithuania, a large portion of Lithuanian cultural life – writers, painters, sculptors, musicians, translators, etc. – fled abroad. Over time the exile faced the problem of whether to communicate and cooperate with the representatives of the Soviet Lithuanian culture or not. This article explores the subject of whether Lithuania or emigration what should be considered a cultural centre. What should be called a periphery on the cultural level? Are a centre and a periphery a steadfast constant, or do they depend on the circumstances so that a centre can become a periphery and a periphery a centre?.
