Lietuvių etnografinės fotografijos ypatybės

LTStraipsnio tikslas – aptarti XIX a. II pusės–XX a. I pusės lietuvių etnografinės fotografijos ypatumus. Remiantis vizualinės medžiagos analize, istoriniu-lyginamuoju metodu, analizuojami lietuvių etnografinės fotografijos raidos ypatumai. Nagrinėjama problema – kaip vaizdiniai naudojami etnografinėms žinioms perteikti etnografinėje fotografijoje. Keliami uždaviniai: atskleisti lietuvių etnografinės fotografijos kaitą nuo XIX a. II pusės iki XX a. vid.; išanalizuoti lietuvių etnografinės fotografijos raidos ypatumus vizualinės antropologijos kontekste. Analizuojant problemą pasitelktos kelios šaltinių grupės – XIX a. II pusės–XX a. vid. Lietuvos fotografų nuotraukų kolekcijos ir albumai.

ENThis article reviews the peculiarities of Lithuanian ethnographic photography from the middle of 19th until 20st c.c. On the basis of research methodology in visual anthropology, the paper analyzes the development of Lithuanian ethnographic photography. The problem is how visual images are used to produce ethnographic knowledge in ethnographic photography. The work is based on two groups of sources – Lithuanian photographers’ collections and albums from the middle of 19th until 20th c.c. The questions posed by the author are as follows: What was the development of Lithuanian ethnographic photography from the middle of 19th until 20st c.c.?; What are the peculiarities of Lithuanian ethnographic photography in the context of visual anthropology?.
