ENRecently, the ideas that the primary purpose of punishment shall be to help a person who committed an offence to get rid of propensity commit offences and to successfully integrate into society are becoming increasingly popular in Lithuania and the world. For simple self-willed conduct, only a fine or arrest or imprisonment for a term of up to three years is provided. The legislator has not provided community service and restriction of liberty. The article analyzes the reasonableness of such a regulation.
