ENMusic therapy is one of the most important methods in the mental health treating processes. Music therapy is a musical activity to pursue therapeutic aims: physical and psychic life -support and development. Appliance of music therapy in the processes of disabled adult’s psychical training is not revealed enough. The aim of our research is to reveal 1) what kind of relaxation people with various kinds of disabilities, might choose 2) how music therapy is appreciated by people with chronic somatic diseases, 3) to reveal the input of previous musical training and 4) to learn what kind of music has the greatest influence on the mood of patients. According to the results of our research we can draw some conclusions: 1. Music therapy is one of the most important parts of the whole process of rehabilitation of disabled adults. Positive influence of music therapy is multidimensional: a patient, according to his - individual and pathological particularities might experience the state of recreational, rehabilitative, calming, somniferous catharsis and even changes of ethic concepts at the same time. 2. Result of music therapy is self -reliance, increasing efficiency and abilities. The psychical health became more stable and better and trepidation, disquiet, reticence got more invisible. We found out that listening to music is in the third position among other kinds of relaxation. People have not enough information about the values of music therapy. Music is acceptable for everyone as a universal phenomenon that effects human psyche, and musical education of the person doesn’t matter. A part of patients point out, that modem music is more preferable than classic creations. Folk - music as a kind of music therapy conceptually increases psychological, ethno cultural and therapeutic significance of application theoretically and practically, as well.
