ENThe article considers the stay in Vyatka province Catholic priests expelled in the 60-s XIX century with Belarus and Lithuania for participation in the Polish national liberation movement. Two main stages of expulsion, which chronologically coincide with the so-called "demonstrative movement" and by the January Uprising. The author analyzed the geography of placing priests, their financial and legal status, interaction with people of the region. Focuses on relationships with local administrative exiles and police authorities. A. A Mashkovtsev refutes the conclusion of some representatives of the Soviet historiography, who believed that the emergence of a large number of Polish exiles led to an intensification of the revolutionary movement in Vyatka province. According to the author, even radical Catholic priests did not spend in exile no sedition due to strict control over their local police and administration.
