Знакавы юбілей: як у БССР адзначалася стагоддзе з дня смерці Кастуся Каліноўскага

ENIn this paper, an analysis of the ideological content of commemorative publications is carried out. The author of the article came to the conclusion that the centenary of Kastuś Kalinouski's death was widely remembered in BSSR. On the official level, he was recognized as national hero. Honoring the memory of Kastuś Kalinouski emphasized Belarusian specific of memory of the 1863 - 1864 uprising, in which the identity of its leader had a huge role, which is not typical for Poland and Lithuania. In the Belarusian historiography everywhere called Kastuś Kalinouski "the leader of the uprising in Belarus and Lithuania" which indirectly revived the memory of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania (GDL) in the historical context of the Belarusian SSR, in which it was officially stated that this had been a purely "Lithuanian" state and Belarusians in it were in a depressed position. The authors of the jubilee publication dedicated to Kastuś Kalinouski considered him not only as a revolutionary, which was demanded by communistic ideology, but as the ideologist and fighter for the Belarusian statehood who had struggled and given his life for national independence of Belarus.
