Tegul meilė Lietuvos...: Vinco Kudirkos 150-ąsias gimimo metines pagerbiant

LTPrieš 150 metu, 1858 m. gruodžio 31 d., Paežerių kaime, šiauriniame Sūduvos pakraštyje, gimė demokratinės lietuvių tautos sąmonės ugdytojas, vienas lietuvių tautinio sąjūdžio vadovų, iškilus žurnalo „Varpas“ publicistas, varpininkų sambūrio ideologas, talentingas poetas ir rašytojas, Lietuvos Respublikos himno autorius Vincas Kudirka. Lietuviškąją būtį Vincas Kudirka atskleidė ne kaip tikimybę ar svajonę, bet kaip natūraliai egzistuojantį reiškinį, kaip istorinę realybę. Taikliu ir įtaigiu žodžiu žadino lietuvišką savimonę, skelbė lietuvių tautą 'esant lygiavertę kitoms tautoms. Tikėjimas lietuvių tautos ateitimi, pasiaukojanti, kupina idealistinio pasišventimo veikla pelnė Vincui Kudirkai lietuvių tautos meilę ir pagarbą. Uždegančios, žmogaus prigimtį taurinančios Vinco Kudirkos idėjos yra aktualios ir dabar, XXI amžiuje, Lietuvai tapus lygiateise Europos Sąjungos ir gynybinio demokratinių valstybių aljanso - NATO nare, atsivėrus šiuolaikinio pasaulio iššūkiams ir siekiams.

EN150 years ago, on December 31, 1858, in the village of Paežeriai, in the outskirts of the Northern Sūduva, was born Vincas Kudirka - the nurturer of the democratic consciousness of the Lithuanian nation; one of the leaders of the Lithuanian national movement; prominent publicist of the magazine "Varpas"; the ideologist of the movement, based on the magazine, a talented writer and poet; the author of the anthem of the Republic of Lithuania. Lithuanian existence Vincas Kudirka revealed not as an expectation or a dream, but like a historical reality, a normally existing expression. His precise and suggestive word wakened up Lithuanian self-awareness, proclaimed Lithuanian nation as equal to other nations. Belief in the future of Lithuanian nation, self-sacrificial, full of idealism activity earned for Vincas Kudirka love and respect from Lithuanian nation. Inspiring, sublimating human nature ideas of Vincas Kudirka, are of an extreme importance nowadays as well, in the 21st century, when Lithuania is an equal member of European Union and NATO - defensive organization of the democratic nations alliance - wide open for the challenges and objectives of the contemporary world.
