Nuotolis, istorinė atmintis ir Czesławo Miłoszo tapatybės paieškos

LTPrabėgo dešimtmetis, kai mus paliko bene iškiliausias XX amžiaus lenkų poetas ir eseistas Czesławas Miloszas, tačiau kai kurie jo asmenybės, pasaulėjautos bei tapatybinio portreto bruožai tebekelia įvairiuose kraštuose daug diskusijų. Neabejotina, jas pradėjo pats poetas, nuolat primindamas „lietuvišką kilmę“, teigdamas savo „pašlijusį tautiškumą“ bei apeliuodamas į LDK pilietybę. Straipsnyje dėstomomis sąmoningai polemiškomis mintimis bandysime įsiterpti į šias diskusijas individualios tapatybės ir istorinės atminties temomis. Straipsnio tikslas: aptarti pasirinktus Miloszo tapatybės paieškų aspektus, remiantis principine pasipriešinimo kolektyvinei tapatybei prielaida. Siekdami šio tikslo Miloszo eseistiniuose apmąstymuose ir poetinėje kūryboje išskirsime nuotolio sąvoką, kurią panaudosime kaip pagalbinį instrumentą jo tapatybinių pozicijų tyrimams. Probleminio konteksto požiūriu bus aptariami: nuotolis kaip tapatybės paieškų sąlyga, „pašlijusios“ etninės tapatybės tipas, individualios ir kolektyvinės tikybos priešprieša, tikėjimo pastangos ir poetinės kūrybos instrumentalizavimo kritika. ENThe aspects of the search for identity that were selected by Milosz are being analyzed in the article on the basis of the assumption of the resistance against the collective identity. The pursuit of this goal is carried out by highlighting the concept of distance in the poetry by Miłosz and by using it as an instrument that is necessary for the researches of the poet’s identity positions. The following aspects are discussed in terms of problematic context: the distance that is seen as a condition of the search for identity, the type of „cranky“ ethnic identity, contraposition between individual and collective faith, efforts of faith and the instrumentalisation of poetry criticism. Miłosz does not view the distance simply as a loss or dissociation. According to him, it is seen as the form of bond, newly established relationship that through a distance opens up the perspective that is otherwise inaccessible. An identity without its own distance and its own assumptions is seen as an existential comfort that turns into a trap, incarcerates in the frame of collective identity and takes away the ability to think “objectively". Such an attitude emphasizes the need to “develop” the distance both for the contents that form their own identity and the assumptions that determine these contents. The content that is comprehensible in such a way is seen as the most common assumption of the search for identity. The provisions that are being professed by Miłosz can be based on the intention to foster a distance that protects against excessive fascination with any topical ideologies and the identities resulting from these ideologies. This is the position that avoids the strict explicitness of identity, the position that turns the distance into its own assumption and the instrument that protects against restrictive aspects of collective identity.
