ENThis article contains information about cultural heritage value of Skiemoniai the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church bells. In situ investigation as well as historiographic examination showed that the three bronze bells in the belfry should be recorded in the register of cultural heritage. The smaller ones were the work (in 1815) of Johan Samuel, an initiator of a famous bell-founder Wenery family. It is an uncommon case for the bells to remain in their parish throughout the period of two hundred years. The big bell is an example of Juozas Masalcas’ (Masaicev), one of the industry pioneers in independent Lithuania, factory in Kaunas works. The circumstances of Skiemoniai Church bells acquisition and preservation during the period of wars are directly related to the parish and church history, so these bells can be treated as objects of local history.
