ENThe article describes the development of online sales in Lithuania in the context of accession to the European Union and spread of so-called phenomenon of consumerism. Delivery time of ordered goods is an important factor in the proper functioning of online stores as well as in positive evaluation of their activity by the customers. This article aims to highlight the role of the proper operation of logistics in e-commerce sector, which is reflected, among others in shortening of the lead time. Additionally, a detailed description of outsource logistics as a tool to raise the efficiency in the distribution has been provided.
