ENAbout 1522-1525 in Vilna (Vilnius) Francysk Skaryna published the first printed books in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in Church Slavonic and the Old Belarusian language. After that publishing in the city reappeared in 1575 by help from Piotr Mscislaviec which had financial and technical support from the most influential citizens of Vilna. There names was Ivan and Zianou Zarecki, Kuzma and Lukas Mamonie. It is generally agreed today that 1575 is a date when the largest in the history of the capital of Lithuania at the end of XVI - early XVII centuries Mamonic's Printing House was established. There are some versions where was Mamonie's Printing House located. The most common opinion is the printing house was located in Didžioji, 19/ Stiklių, 2 street. However careful analysis of historical sources doesn't allow it with absolute precision.
