Šiuolaikinės tautodailės istorijos tyrimų problemos

LTDrauge su pakitusią ideologija, sutvirtėjusia nepriklausoma valstybe, augančia globalizacija, didėjančiu atotrūkiu tarp kaimo ir miesto keičiasi tautodailės reikšmė bei vaidmuo visuomenėje. Nūdienos skirtumai nuo XX a. paskutiniojo ketvirčio situacijos suteikia dailės istoriko vertinimui ir analizei reikalingą atstumą, atveria galimybę geriau pamatyti reiškinių dinamiką. Straipsnyje siekiama išryškinti šiuolaikinės tautodailės istorijos tyrimų aktualijas, keliamas naujų tautodailės sampratų ir vertinimų dabartyje. Straipsnyje neketinama pateikti šiuolaikinės tautodailės tyrimų akademinį apibendrinimą, bet stengiamasi išryškinti diskusinius problemos aspektus. Šiuolaikinės tautodailės istorijos tyrimus apsunkina jiems būtinas interdiscipliniškumas – net šiuolaikinės tautodailės šviežiausių aktualijų neįmanoma gvildenti apeinant istorinę plotmę. Šiuolaikinės tautodailės istorijos tyrimuose kryžiuojasi ir kultūrologijos, ir socialinės antropologijos, ir etnologijos interesai. Pastaruoju metu aktualėja tie šiuolaikinės tautodailės tyrimo aspektai, kurie yra priešingi modernizmo epochos dailės istorijai būdingoms hierarchiškoms menų klasifikacijoms. Postmoderniškas partikuliarumo, subjektyvumo-betrapiškumo, antimodernizmo, marginalumo siekis bei postsovietinis „objektyvesnės istorinės tiesos“ ilgesys sudaro itin palankią terpę ir prielaidas naujoviškiems šiuolaikinės tautodailės tyrimams ir interpretavimams. ENThe meaning and role of folk art in society is changing, along with a changed ideology, consolidated independent state, growing globalisation, and growing gap between rural areas and cities. Today‘s differences with the situation of the last quarter of the 20th century provides the necessary distance for the evaluation and analysis for an art historian, and opens up the possibility to better observe the dynamics of various phenomenon. This article seeks to bring into focus relevant research of contemporary art history, transferring this new understanding and evaluation of folk art to the present. This article does not intend to provide an academic summary of the research on contemporary folk art, but seeks to bring aspects to light in order to discuss certain problems. The essential interdisciplinary character makes research on the history of contemporary folk art difficult – it‘s not even possible to examine the freshest relevant examples in researching contemporary folk art history without taking account of its historical breadth. The interests of culturology, social anthropology, and ethnology interweave with one another in research on the history of contemporary folk art. Recently the aspects of contemporary folk art research have become more relevant, which are in opposition to the hierarchic art classifications characteristic for the modern period of art history. The postmodern-like objective of particularity, subjectiveness-unbreakability, anti-modernism and marginalism and post-Soviet longing of an “objective historical truth” creates an especially attractive environment and preconditions for the innovative research and interpretation of contemporary folk art.
