ENThe article is devoted to the unexplored problems of the Lithuanian policy of Prince Leo Danylovych, whose image, as the image of Grand Prince of Lithuania Troyden, deliberately distorted by the Volynian editors of the second half of the Galician-Volynian chronicle. The first contacts of Leo Danylovych with the Lithuanian princes in the support of Prince Tovtivil and the first phase of the struggle for the Austrian succession, joint campaigns against Yatvingians and preparing to march on Kiev are considered. The causes and circumstances of the Voishelk death, shows and the displays and the results of Leo Danylovych and Troyden union are analyzed. The reasons and course of the war with Lithuania in 1275 - early 1280-ies, creation of Slonim principality and restoration of the Lithuanian-Galician union before 1285 are examined.
