ENThe article entitled "The Coronation Sejm of King Wladyslaw TV and the Ukrainian issue" analyses the legal acts adopted by the Polish Parliament in 1633 in connection with the political situation in the Ukraine. The article opens with a brief outline of the circumstances surrounding the Coronation Sejm. The author then analyses parliamentary debates concerning the Ukrainian issue, mainly military aspects such as mobilization of troops, provisions and winter quarters for the army. The Ukrainian problem revealed a rift between Sejm members. Despite differences in opinion, the Sejm was able to enact laws establishing disciplina militaris. The Ukrainian issue was not the main topic of deliberation, and several resolutions directly addressing Ukraine were only a small part of the body of 148 laws passed by the Coronation Sejm.
