Jonjuozio gyvenimas arba kunigo Jono Rimšos (1905-1996) autobiografija

ENThis article gives an overview of one of the most interesting manuscripts of Pasvalys Regional Museum scriptures foundation - priest's Jonas Rimša autobiography "Jonjuozio gyvenimas" (Jonjuozis life, 1964). In the autobiography priest Jonas Rimša tells about a long and meaningful way of his life: studying in Svėdasai, Utena, later - in Samogitian Theological Seminary and Kaunas Vytautas Magnus University, Faculty of Theology and Philosophy, his priesthood in the churches of Utena, Daujėnai, Rokiškis, Traupis, Vabalninkas, Pumpėnai, Ančiškis, Biržai, Ramygala, Saločiai, Pasvalys. The author of autobiography gives religious, ethnographic, educational, historical information. Jonas Rimša describes his colleagues priests, and the works done in his priesthood times: children's preparation for the sacraments, the leadership of the ministrants and church Organizations, visiting the sick and others. There is some talk about the persecution of the post-war years, running from exile, the expropriation of church buildings, thefts from churches, fines, various prohibitions, etc.
