ENThe collection of the reports from the ‘Žiburys’ association meetings is stored in Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania in Vilnius. The collection is an important source of knowledge on the history of the Seinai region in the period of 1906-1920. Some parts of the documents regarding the life of the association were published in the then press, but most of them were not publicised and are not widely known. The association mainly opened and ran schools and libraries. The reports present the names of the founders and the activists, the main trends in the activity, and the circumstances in which the branches of the association were opened (Seinai, Punskas).
