ENIn the first of the two volumes of this work the author summarizes the results of many years of the historical and critical study of philosophical hermeneutics. This book combines the problematic-analytical, historical, and synthetic approaches. The analysis of problems also reveals the most important stages in the development of philosophical hermeneutics: the appearance of traditional philological and theological hermeneutics, the formation of hermeneutic methodology during the 18th and 19th centuries, and most importantly - the development of philosophical hermeneutics during the 20th century, the emergence of ontological problematics, and its problematization. This book presents an analysis of the ideas of the main representatives of this movement - Wilhelm Dilthey, Martin Heidegger, Hans Georg Gadamer, Paul Ricoeur, Rudolf Bultmann, and some other thinkers. Although this book does not seek to present a total picture or exhaustive history of the philosophical movement under discussion, both of these goals are borne in mind in each study: the reader is acquainted with the most important problem areas of philosophical hermeneutics as well as the stages of its appearances and development. In many instances the author does not restrict himself to the reconstruction of the problems of philosophical hermeneutics, but independently considers them and offers his own solutions.
