Summary / Abstract:

ENThe article presents the phonological system of Lithuanian Punskas dialect (the speech of the residents of Punskas and the residents of the area in Suvalkai region). The dialect belongs to the group of southern Aukštaitija dialects. The author presents the specifics of the vowel system of Punskas dialect. She discusses short, long and medium vowels, diphthongs and diphthongal combinations.
